American comedian Stephen Colbert will produce a 10-episode animated series aimed at spotlighting follies by US President Donald Trump.
American broadcast company Showtime ordered on Thursday a “documentary” format of the yet-to-be-titled animated series, which will be produced by ‘The Late Show’ host, Colbert.
The 10-episode animated series will follow the antics of US President Donald Trump and his family.
“The fresh, cutting-edge comedy will present the truish adventures of Trump’s confidants and bon vivants – family, top associates, heads of government, golf pros and anyone else straying into his orbit – intrepidly exploring their histories and their psyches, revealing insights into what makes them so definitively Trumpian,” the Showtime description read.
“It’s a workplace comedy where the office happens to be oval; it’s a character study in search of character, as seen through the eyes of an imaginary documentary crew,” the description continued.
Showtime said it will quickly produce episodes to coincide with the current political events – or colorful exploits – of “Trump and his band of others.”
